We are currently working with one of the leading national financial planning firms who are currently seeking experienced financial planners across the UK.

About the company

As a company they have £11bn under management and the type of client they deal with has £250k+ investable assets. Clients with lower levels of assets are taken care of by the desk based telephone team. They have in house investment managers; they have dedicated Paraplanners in each office with a ratio of 1 paraplanner to every 2 financial planners. As a business they are conservative and are looking for steady growth. They are a looking to strengthen their marketable brand and are known professionally. Financial planners in the business will provide cash flow, non-transactional, lifestyle advice. Investment decisions are left to the investment managers. The investment managers will often attend the advisers on client meetings.

What they are looking for?

Candidates who can transfer business over the medium term; they will treat you on a case by case basis. The New Business Award will reward you over an agreed period, typically two years, taking into account any non-compete periods. This is a significant element of the contract. In addition they will pay a strong basic salary, relative to total fees achieved.

You would also earn bonus off new business and the levels of recurring income that’s brought on and managed. They will also work with the adviser to pass on some existing clients during the first 12 months and generate clients through their many seminars and events that they host. You can expect some business to come off the back of this activity however you will be expected to self-generate the majority as well as servicing some existing clients allocated.
