Our client is a Chartered IFA with offices across the South of England. They are a forward thinking financial planning and wealth management business that provide independent advice to a range of clients including Individuals, Businesses, Trusts & Charities. They work closely with clients to provide holistic advice that encompasses all of their affairs. We have seen them grow rapidly since 2005 and they now manage £2bn of client assets with an intention to continue their successful growth.
Their office in Guildford is one of their busiest offices and they seek a Business Support Supervisor who can assist the Business Support Manager to ensure the highest quality of support is provided to their Financial Planners. The role is to guide the support teams on a day to day basis to ensure the smooth running of the financial planning practice, ensuring that systems and processes are adhered to. Overseeing the administration workflows ensuring that work is being managed within reasonable timescales and being proacted in identifying potential issues before they arise, finding solutions and strengthening working relationships.
The candidate that they are looking for will be responsible for coaching and mentoring members of the non-sales teams, helping to motivate them, provide them with direction and continually seek to improve their efficiency. The role holder will be involved with performance management as well as recruitment into the team, induction and training, managing absence and sickness.
The role will also include duties such as providing administration and technical support to a team of financial planners and their clients. Processing of new business and the ongoing servicing of existing clients and ensuring that Clients, Advisors and Providers are all kept up to date.
To be considered for the role, candidates must have a demonstrable track record of working within an IFA practice, ideally 5 years’ experience. You must have a broad and current knowledge of the industry and have industry related qualifications, ideally working towards the CII Level 4 diploma in financial planning. Due to the nature of the role, you need to have team leader experience. Candidates with experience of using IRESS/ Financial Express/ Voyant/ Moneyscope would be at an advantage.
