Junior / Trainee Financial Advice Administrator – Central Nottingham

Our client is a financial advice firm  who are looking for a junior IFA administrator to join them in their newly acquired office. You will be working in a team of only three people in a busy and exciting business. This adviser has a rapidly growing client base and is looking for someone to help with the everyday administration.

This is an exciting transitional period for the company, a brand new office space and a new support team to support the adviser. A genuine opportunity to be part of an exciting new business which is looking to grow over the coming years.

They are looking for an organised, confident and IT literate individual who is happy to innovate and develop efficient processes in their work.

This is an adviser who works hard to deliver a full financial planning advice service covering matters such as Estate and Wealth Planning, Pre and Post Retirement, Investment and Portfolio management and Financial Protection; and for their Corporate Clients, Employee benefits advice.

The Financial Planning Administrator will;

  • Provide assistance to team members and advisors.
  • Drafting letters and writing emails.
  • Maintaining and developing records.
  • Preparation of valuations for investment portfolios.
  • Co-ordinating the purchase and sale of investments.
  • Assist the advisors with client meeting preparation.
  • Assist with project work
  • Carry out basic taxation calculations.

This role would suit someone who is looking to step up from an entry level administration role. You will be proficient in using technical systems, including Microsoft programmes.  You will be confident to prioritise and organize your workload, to meet standards and deadlines; and will be comfortable to work in a small team that requires you to take part in a variety of tasks. The Financial Planning Administrator will also deal with clients over the phone from time to time, so it is essential to have clear verbal skills and a good telephone manner. Financial industry qualifications, or working towards them will be an advantage.
