PA to Financial Planning Partner – Chelmsford, Essex

We are representing a leading financial advisory firm who has just launched a brand new office in Chelmsford, Essex.  They have offices across the South and they’ve recently expanded due to the acquisition of another IFA business.  One of their advisers requires a PA to assist him with the day to day management of his particularly large client bank. Working one on one with the advisor, you will be responsible for helping to maintain close client relationships.  You will be the first point of contact for all clients and will respond to their queries either face to face, over the telephone or via email.  Managing the relationship between you and the advisor is of upmost importance as there needs to be a high level of trust between you; you will need to manage the Advisor’s day ensuring that he is only involved with non-profit making activity as and when necessary, with your ultimate aim of ensuring that the Advisor is out in front of clients and writing business as much as possible.


Managing the Advisors diary, you will record annual review dates, book and prepare client reviews and ensure that all paperwork and information is provided to the Advisor in time for the review.  Other responsibilities will include, preparing letters of authority, prepare basic financial reports using templates, process all new business, review the clients’ portfolios and platform accounts, monitor policy records, ensuring that they are accurate so that valuations can be produced.


To be considered for the role you will need to have worked in a financial planning administrator role or another similar role whereby you have a proven track record of supporting one or two advisers.  Due to the size of the client bank and the demands that will bring, the advisor will need someone that can hit the ground running and who will make an immediate impact.


The ideal candidate will be strong process driven, organised and part qualified either FPC 1 & 2 or other equivalent exams.  You will need to have experience of working on wrap platforms.
