We are representing an international financial services group with significant operations overseas and in the UK. The group is divided into four business units. The unit that we are representing offers insurance, pensions, and annuities in the UK and Europe to clients on a third party and direct basis.
Their direct advisory arm offers advice both face to face and over the telephone, dependent on the financial need of the client. The group employs a team of financial planners nationally, who are all highly qualified and large business writers who look after their HNW clients. This team, requires a T&C Manager to assist them with ongoing development.
Due to the nature of the advice that is being provided by this team of planners, it is imperative that you have a strong understanding of financial planning, in particular, IHT, Estate & Retirement planning. You will need to hold qualifications related to these key areas of advice and function to show your understanding. Candidates who are diploma qualified and have also passed AF3/G60 & AF1/ G10 will be at a significant advantage. The diploma in financial planning is an absolute minimum.
As their financial planning team are based nationally, the role will require national travel, so would suit someone who perhaps lives within close proximity to any of the major UK airports or Motorways
It will be down to you as an individual to manage your time and diary effectively and efficiently. You will be required to carry out observations to identify any training needs, devise and implement training to overcome any problems and develop and coach the team’s skills to help them identify opportunities. You will be required to travel to their North based head office once a month to assist with the development of the telephony advisory teams and their DB Pension team with a view to improve their technical knowledge.
As an experienced T&C manager, you will have supervised in a similar role, be an effective team player with high influencing skills and you will have the ability to hold credible and intelligent conversations with peers.
Our client is an excellent employer and in return for the work that you put in you will receive an annual basic salary of £45,000 per annum. On top of your basic salary you will receive an additional 5% bonus, be provided with a company car and an excellent pension package of up to 18% per annum.
