Job Description:
Recruit UK are working on an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Assistant in Clevedon to join a well-established Tax Practice Firm based in the southwest.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring individual to build a mixed tax career. You will receive on the job training from their dedicated team to perform a range of accounting and tax compliance services. Full study support is available to follow formal academic training to suit your ambitions.
Main Responsibilities
The role entails the delivery of a high-quality service to our clients on a wide range of accounting and taxation matters. More specifically, the responsibilities will include:
- Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, limited liability partnerships and limited companies.
- Preparing self-assessment tax returns for individuals, partnerships and trusts.
- Preparing Corporation Tax returns for limited companies.
- Preparing VAT returns for individuals, partnerships and limited companies.
- Maintaining tax records for our clients and ensuring all accounts, tax returns and tax payments are submitted on time.
- Providing cover for our payroll administrator on weekly and monthly payroll preparation.

- Is educated to at least A level standard (or equivalent) and is confident, flexible, and willing to learn.
- Has a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office with excellent IT skills.

- Has strong interpersonal skills in addition to strong oral and written communication skills.
