Job Description:
Recruit UK are working on an excellent opportunity for a pension transfer specialist in Birmingham to join a Financial Planning organisation. This client is a multi-award company, who have a well-established financial planning division and are enjoying a period of sustained growth. They provide expert financial planning to HNW clients across the UK.
As part of their continuing growth, they are looking to recruit an additional member to join their Birmingham based compliance team. Due to the nature of their client base this will be a varied and interesting role. A key focus of the position will be pre-approval pension work however the role will not be limited to this function. The team work on complex and very much bespoke cases with HNW clients. This will include IHT work along with a wider Compliance and Risk remit.
This is a highly professional outfit and a genuinely lovely team who pride themselves in working in a collaborative manner to find solutions for their advisers and in turn clients. This is not a business prevention unit, more of a solutions hub!

Skills and experience required:
The position would very much suit an experienced paraplanner looking for a new challenge. Or equally someone from a compliance or advice background. Experience of an IFA / Financial Planning outfit is key along with a confident understanding of the full advice process and FCA rulebook.
- AF3 or AF7 qualification in order to undertake specialist pension work
- Level 4 CII Diploma Qualification
- Excellent IT skills with a particular knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience of Intelligent Office would be an advantage
- Good analytical skills – attention to detail
- A working understanding of life, pension, protection, wealth management and group risk products.
