Main duties will include:
* Prepare documents for client meetings
* Undertake analysis of client position/risk questionnaire etc and research financial solutions to meet client needs
* Training and assisting Trainee Paraplanner
* Present analysis/research to Snr/Head of Paraplanning/Financial Planners
* Answer product based technical queries from clients and colleagues
* Liaising with external administration centres and other third parties
* Assist financial planners during client meetings, including taking, and completing meeting notes
* Support Client Services Team when needed
* Assist Compliance Officer to undertake compliance reviews, including analysis of advice given
* Prepare suitability letters, annual reviews and client letters for adviser sign off without assistance
* Draft complex suitability reports to be completed with assistance from Senior Paraplanner/Head of Paraplanning
* Be aware of the regulatory requirements in respect of client servicing, & new business
* Use Financial Express to provide investment analysis and comparisons
* Accurately record work progression on FinPlan, Paraplanning Overview spreadsheet and any other systems
* Responsible for all annual rate assumptions and inputs via Voyant and lead the finalised production of client cashflow reports
* Responsible for ensuring Annual Reviews are issued when due, so need to liase with Client Services Team Manager and Technical Team for their relevant input and to ascertain review priorities
Key attributes
* Certificate in Paraplanning
* Diploma in Financial Planning
* At least four years financial services experience, including two years of paraplanning
* Comprehensive knowledge of Protection, Investment, Pensions, mainstream Tax and Trusts
* Knowledge of less mainstream tax and trust schemes, and good understanding of Wills and Probate
* Good understanding of the regulatory requirements in respect of new business processing and the financial planning process, and ensure that appropriate documentation is obtained to evidence this
* Good written and oral communication skills
* Good analytical and numerical skills
* Good time management skills
* Ability to liaise in a professional and concise manner
* Good IT skills
