They are looking for a paraplanner who has a genuine interest in developing their career within the industry to support one of their most successful advisors based in the Brighton area. This adviser delivers a range of specialist financial planning services.
This role will focus on helping in research and implementing solutions for clients on an ongoing basis. The ideal candidate will be already in a senior paraplanner position, experienced in the role and eager to use their existing knowledge and skills to help progress and develop the advice given and the process followed.
Due to the nature of the clients you will be dealing with, they require an individual who is empathetic to different needs and able to show diversity in their approach to each client.
The key function of this role consists of the preparation of financial recommendation reports and private/minor trust reports. You will be using a number of research tools to support your work, including Defaqto, Synaptics and Exchange to ensure the most appropriate recommendations are made.
You will often be the first point of contact for pre and post-sale for clients to ensure their needs are met in an orderly time frame. Due to the increased level of business that is being generated by the company in the South East the plan is to develop this paraplanner into an adviser over a 6 – 9 month period.
The ideal candidate will be diploma qualified with aspirations to become chartered and have at least five years’ experience. Due to the nature of the role, you can often work with families in sometimes distressing situations, so it is important to have the softer skills to manage these clients. They have a number of professional introducers who pass leads to the Financial Consultants, so there is a good level of support towards building your business.
Part of your role will be to work closely with the business development team to continue the dialogue with solicitors, so it is essential that you have exceptional communication skills.
They are offering a fantastic package that could see you earning a salary of £65K in year 2 and total earnings in excess of £100,000 in the third year.
Due to the highly specialised nature of the role, you will also gain invaluble experience within a niche sector of financial advice.
