Recruit UK are working with a boutique, owner-led financial planning firm who are looking to appoint a Trainee Financial Adviser to join the business and become a long-term part of its future.
This is a unique opportunity for someone with strong technical foundations and genuine ambition to develop into an Adviser. The firm is looking for someone who has more experience than a typical IFA Administrator and is ready to take the next step towards managing clients and building a career in advice.
The successful candidate will work closely with the owner, with the long-term aim of becoming a key part of the business over the next 5–7 years. This role would suit an energetic, driven individual who wants more than just a support position and is motivated by the opportunity to eventually inherit and manage clients.
The Role:
- Support the Director with existing client relationships and advice preparation
- Attend client meetings and gradually build confidence in a client-facing capacity
- Assist with research, suitability reports, and technical planning work
- Develop towards managing your own clients and becoming an Adviser
- Play a key role in the future growth and succession of the business
What They’re Looking For:
- Most CII R0 exams completed / close to Level 4 Diploma
- Experience within an IFA environment beyond pure administration
- Ambition to become a Financial Adviser within the next 3–5 years
- Energetic, personable, and commercially minded
- Someone who is thinking carefully about where they want to be professionally and financially in the next few years
Salary & Benefits:
- £32,000 – £50,000 depending on experience
- Hybrid / flexible working with no fixed office days
- Relaxed, adult environment focused on outcomes rather than rigid structure
- 9–5 contract, but flexibility around client and business needs
- Modern co-working office environment, with client meetings held there as required
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants a genuine long-term career path into advice and the chance to become an integral part of a small, growing firm.
