Recruit UK are working on an excellent opportunity for a Financial Administrator in Exeter to join a Chartered practice.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Financial Administrator seeking a supportive firm that will assist you with further professional development. They will support you as an administrator to obtain your Diploma in Financial Planning if desired.
The purpose of the position is to support the company in terms of new business and ongoing service to their clients.
Your main duties as a Financial Administrator will include but not be limited to:
- Supporting the advisers to meet targets.
- You will be the first point of contact for clients and their queries.
- You will manage the financial advisers’ diaries by booking meetings.
- Prepare meeting packs and assist advisers with arranging them.
- You will write letters to clients and providers.
- You will update files and ensure they are compliant.
- Processing of new business track through to completion.
- You will organize regular evaluations to clients.
- Maintain and update back-office systems.
- Perform other ad-hoc tasks in the office as required such as posts, emails, supporting colleagues.
- 25 days holiday plus 8 days bank holiday leave, increasing with length of service.
- Competitive salary up to £28,000 (negotiable DOE).
- Currently WFH, this will return to office-based when safe to do so.

- GCSE passes grade C or above in English Language and Mathematics (or equivalent) is essential
- Motivated to complete the relevant qualifications is essential.
- Previous experience within an IFA as an administrator is desirable.
- Familiar with Intelligent Office is desirable
- Ideally, the CII Award in Financial Administration (or equivalent).
- Level 4 Diploma advantageous.
- Knowledge of MS Office, FSA Compliance procedures.
- You will ideally have experience with completing suitability letters and other clients/product provider correspondence.
- High level of organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Knowledge of pensions/pensions administration is desirable.
- Research and analysis skills re financial advice are desirable.
- Project management and Investment research knowledge are desirable.
