We are working with a boutique financial planning firm that provides bespoke financial planning for each of their clients who come from all walks of life and have differing financial needs. As a firm they seek to build long lasting relationships with their clients, aiming to protect their clients wealth whilst assisting with the growth and development of their client’s financial plans and future.
There are currently two financial planners who are both Directors of the business. They provide advise around Pensions pre and post retirement, Investments and Protection and assist clients to make educated decisions on their investment decisions. All client wealth is managed via a platform whereby clients can obtain up to date information on their invested wealth at any time.
The planners require additional support and are looking for an administrator to join them, making a team of five. The successful administrator will need to be an experienced Investment administrator with a thorough understanding of portfolio administration on an advisory basis, investment wraps, funds and cash management.
Daily tasks will include:
- Managing client funds on the platform
- Placing trades, investing and dis-investing client monies
- Organise and manage annual ISA campaigns, embedding ISAs and sending out appropriate client communication
- Manage CGT allowances at year end
- Produce client facing material in preparation of meetings
- Sending out marketing information to clients
- Collection of data (Valuations) from providers
- Organisation and preparation of client reviews
- Maintenance of internal CRM
The successful candidate will need to have good mathematical skills, particularly percentage and proportions. You will also need to have excellent IT skills, Excel in particular as you will be expected to perform complicated formulae in order to provide portfolio analysis.
We are looking for someone with 2-3 years’ experience at least, of working in a financial services environment, with a good understanding of what a financial adviser does, strong knowledge of products and services and an understanding of the principles of Fund Management. Ideally someone from a client services background! Someone holding either the IOC or IAQ exam will be at an advantage.
