Job Description:
My client is an independent financial planning and wealth management company that offers financial advice and support to private individuals, trustees, and businesses. They have a regional presence and a strong reputation in the local area. They have strong established relationships with their clients and a distinguished reputation in the local area.
They are currently recruiting for a Operations and Risk Manager. Your main goal in this role is to ensure the organization runs efficiently and smoothly. You will be responsible for managing the effectiveness and efficiency of the company. This role will involve managing various departments (predominantly operations and compliance) and providing leadership to the teams in question.
Overall, you will be responsible for managing and improving various aspects of the organization to ensure operational excellence and compliance with regulatory requirements. They must be able to work collaboratively across different departments and demonstrate strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Managing and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the support teams
- Responsible for long-term planning and coordinating changes across departments
- Focus on increasing the productivity of the support team
- Implementing systems and processes
- Managing the compliance function in line with business and regulatory objectives
- Participating in service investment committee meetings
- Maintaining compliance monitoring plans
- Oversee the company T&C Scheme for Advisers

Skills and experience required:
- You must be able to work collaboratively across different departments
- Previous experience in senior compliance or operations roles
- Having worked in a Wealth Management company or a Financial Planning Company
- Demonstrable strong leadership and problem-solving skills
